Do you have a trip to Spain planned in the near future? Do you speak Spanish? Do you need to learn more Spanish than what you currently know? Traveling is ALWAYS more enjoyable when you have the ability to speak your destination's native tongue. Think about the simpler things in life such as dining out and eating. How much easier will it be to get what you want if you can do more than just point at an item on the menu and hope it turns out to be something you like? Maybe you are a pickier eater and your order is often times accompanied with phrases like-"such and such on the side please" or "no this and that please".
You will be able to convey these sorts of things and much more if you take some time to learn the language. Believe it or not, you can learn quite a bit in a month or two or three (provided you're diligent about learning). There are some excellent programs that you can buy right online, that will have you speaking Spanish before you know it. You will be pleasantly surprised how much you learn before you board that airplane and venture off to your Spanish villa.
What about getting from point A to Point B? You are in a foreign country and you do not know your way around. How much easier will life be if you can speak with AND understand Spain's countrymen?
There is just no way around it, your trip to Spain will be so much more enjoyable if you can speak the language. It would be nice to be able to say more than "Da me una cerveza, por favor"?
