It is a true fact of life; if you are woman with curly hair you will lust after super straight smooth locks and if you have been blessed with poker straight tresses you crave the volume and movement that curly girls have. You just can’t win! As a curly girl myself, I can definitively vouch for the fact that living with curly hair is tough. We don’t just wake up with perfect curls, there is so much preparation and styling that goes on behind the scenes that it is a wonder we ever find the time to leave the house! And if we decide that we want to experiment with a straight look for a change, well then, this can be equally as traumatic. A lot of women rely on hot irons, hair driers and tons of products to straighten out the natural kink in their hair. I can honestly say that my GHDs may just be the best thing I’ve ever bought in my life and they are the one thing I could not do without. This may sound materialistic but I really would never be able to get myself into an acceptable state to step out of the door without them. Seriously. The problem with hot irons and other heat styling tools is that when used on a daily basis like I do, they can seriously damage your hair. They cause split ends and brittle dry locks unless you are super cautious and religiously use heat protective spray and step-up your conditioning regime.
